I know it is quite hard to manage time, being a medical student. I have a few simple tips for you on how to master your time during your medical school journey.
- Wake up early in the mornings:
I have learned that waking up early in the morning gives you lots of time to invest in your studies. Your mind is fresh and free of stress in the morning so you can make the most out of it.
2. Make a to-do-list:
Write all of the work you do every day and set a time limit for each. Make sure you spent most of the time on your MITS (Most Important Tasks) and try to spend your mornings on them. LITS (Least Important Tasks) can be completed in the evenings or you can dedicate your breaks to those. Every night before sleeping, check your to-do list.
3. Stick to your to-do-list:
Making a to-do list is very easy but sticking to it, is pretty hard. If you want to achieve something in your life then you have to stick to it and tick-mark every task you have on the list. This will help you in the long run.
4. Reward yourself:
After the completion of every task reward yourself. The reward can be a movie, your favorite food or a walk with your pet, etc. Make sure you do not waste your time while surfing through the internet or texting and calling as a REWARD.
I hope these tips will work for you as I have tried them and I know these are worth trying. Share your time management tips in the comments, I would love to read them.
